Cloche Encounters

The cloche is one of my favorite hat styles.  The crown of the cloche can come in many shapes, but the shape most often associated with the cloche is round.  This bell shaped hat is often worn close to the head with a small or diagonal brim that covers the eyes. The cloche was made popular in the 1920's by flappers because it complimented their short cropped hair styles.  Cloche is the french word for bell.  Here are a few examples of this classic style worn with a modern twist.

Spring Fling

Spring is here.  Time to break out the straws and wide brims to protect us from the sun.  Here are a few samples of the new styles for the spring and summer season.

Let's wear hats

I have heard many excuses why women do not wear hats.  1. They can't find one that fits their face.  2. They don't want to mess up their hair.  3. Only old women wear hats.  4. Wearing hat's is not in style.  Well ladies, I am here to prove you wrong.  Wearing hats is becoming more popular and not just for older women.  If you can't find a hat that fits your face, then you haven't tried on enough hats.  If you don't want to mess up your hair, then wear a hat on your bad hair day.  Trying on hats can make you feel better.  When people try on hats they automatically laugh or giggle.  Don't believe me?  Just check out all the happy faces.

Shopping at Eastern Market

Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day.  The clouds were out, but the sun brought out the shoppers.  I want to thank all of the fabulous ladies sporting my hats and bags.
Lady M, you look divine!

End of the Season

Farewell to the end Winter 2010.  I added a few new shapes and colors.  The high crowns were a hit.  The chocolate slant was fierce.  I got a lot of, "you are wearing that hat".  DON'T be afraid to sport your style.  DON'T be afraid to receive compliments, which you will receive when you wear one one my designs.  So wear them, embrace them, and put your order in for Spring 2011!
